Our mission: To improve the lives of individuals and families affected by the war in Sudan through a range of sustainable projects, providing tangible results with a positive impact.
Our brothers and sisters in Sudan are facing challenges of war, starvation, and diseases. When you help Savannah and Sahara Relief and Development Organization, you are helping an organization that fosters connections with local community members with the intent to empower and create long-term
We currently only work in Sudan in the most affected Darfur states (South Darfur ), (West Darfur), (East Darfur) and (Middle Darfur). We are also working to open a new location to help the people in Kordufan. Our work focuses primarily on food security through initiatives like Mercy Bakeries and Mercy Kitchens as well as livelihood development. We hope to expand our services to other regions of Sudan and parts of the world in the future. As we want to protect the security of our composite male and female staff.
We are delighted that you want to support those affected by the ongoing conflict in Sudan. Rather than benefit one family or child, SASRADO programs are designed to benefit whole communities. We also recognize that many families, even those with orphans, deserve to be as self-sufficient as possible. This is why we have designed Project Uplift where your donation can provide basic needs (such as food, rent, health care, furniture, and school supplies) for one family for one year. With this support, families will be able to secure employment and obtain self-sufficiency. SASRADO will then select new participants for Project Uplift.
For orphans specifically, SASRADO focuses on whole orphanages to eliminate favoritism if only a few children received sponsorship. Our work on orphanages provides wraparound services to these children facing adversity through rehabilitation of orphanages in Sudan, provision of education, healthcare, food, and economic opportunity which are all included in more traditional orphan sponsorship programs. This way, rather than benefiting one orphan, your donation can serve a whole community of orphans
