Sudan Health Crisis

SASRADO seeks to alleviate the financial burden of receiving medical assistance for Sudanese. In Sudan, most civilians can’t receive the healthcare services they desperately need. 
Frequent conflicts and complications have resulted in health issues in Sudan including; hospital closures due to being destroyed and deplorable conditions.
Destruction of infrastructure from the conflict have made the health situation in Sudan dire, and we aim to alleviate the health crisis and bring light to a tragic situation.

Food Cart

Living in war-torn countries like Sudan, makes it very hard to have consistent access to bare food essentials. Sometimes getting to the food is an even greater challenge.

A mobile idea in bringing the necessary food essentials out to the Sudanese community via a food cart.

Treating displaced Sudanese

Amid diseases and hunger... tragic conditions for the displaced this fall. Mosquitoes have spread widely in schools, with the appearance of insects, scorpions, and snakes.
Despite the spread of diseases such as malaria and inflammatory conditions, especially among children, medical services were nonexistent in some schools, forcing patients to spend on their treatment at their own expense, which was not available at all.

Jobs are few and far between, and those that can find work are often not being paid their fair share, leaving them unable to pay for basic necessities like food and shelter. Without jobs, people in Sudan are left with no alternative but to rely on humanitarian aid.

More than 25 million people in Sudan are in need of humanitarian aid or protection 17 million are food insecure, 8 million of which have acute food insecurity 4.5 million people in Sudan, 10% of the population, have been forced to flee their homes, most of which have been displaced multiple times over a number of years An estimated 80% of all displaced people in Sudan are women and children, and over a quarter of displaced households are headed by a female More than 80% of the population live below the poverty line

The History 

Sudan has been embroiled in a civil war since 15/04/2024 with consequences so devastating it is considered one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world.

Even before the war began, Sudan was already the poorest country in the Middle East and North Africa region. Since then, Sudan has seen its economy shrink by less than half.
